Bright Night 2023 "open doors at the biobank"

BRIGHT NIGHT The researchers' night

On Friday 29 September, the 2023 edition of BRIGHT-NIGHT, the European Researchers' Night, took place across Europe: the event conceived by the European Commission with the aim of spreading scientific culture and showing the social impact of research. The name BRIGHT-NIGHT comes from combining the acronym for 'Brilliant Researchers Impact on Growth Health and Trust in research' with the word night: a 'Brilliant Night' for the energy of research and the passion of researchers.

An opportunity to approach the fascinating world of science and get in touch with people who have made scientific research their daily mission. The University of Florence also took a very active part in the initiative, which involves many universities, with several initiatives for both young and old. Among these, the staff of the da Vinci European BioBank, "open doors at the biobank", owned by the University of Florence, to raise awareness of the reality of research biobanks that store biological samples and associated data in quality, for scientific research purposes.
