The repository
The repository is organized in two adjacent areas dedicated to cryopreservation, in a controlled temperature environment. There are 4 mechanical freezers operating at -80°C (each with a capacity of 800 liters) and 4 tanks for storage in nitrogen vapours (at temperatures < -170°C) in a 24h monitored environment through a supervision and control system able to acquire, display and control all the signals coming from the various equipment, recording and signalling (via e-mail and sms) any anomalies and alarms coming from the machines/plants. Freezers and tanks are connected to a dedicated line for the distribution of liquid nitrogen, stored in a 5000 liter tank outside the repository.
